Volunteering at The Gap
Volunteers help support activities at The Gap, including helping with an Older People's Lunch Club, running a Toy Library and carrying out a community consultation to help the Gap meet the needs of the local community.
The Gap supports volunteers and will ensure that volunteers are properly integrated into the organisation, enabling them to contribute effectively to its work and that volunteers will not be used to replace or reduce the work of paid staff.
The Gap will ensure that its staff will work positively with volunteers and will provide work for volunteers that is satisfying and that leads to personal development. The Gap will provide relevant training to enable Volunteers to contribute effectively.
All volunteers must be willing to undertake a criminal record bureau check due to the nature of working with some vulnerable people. The Gap proveides a full induction programme. If you would like more information on becoming a Volunteer, then please get in touch. Either phone Kate on 01926 494200 or e-mail us.
