The Gap staff are as follows:
I'm Marcos, married and have three children, two little girls and a little boy. I come from Brazil and I have lived in the UK now since 2007. In Brazil, I used to work with street children and children at risk. I started working at the Gap in October 2008 as Youth and Families Team Leader. At the end of 2009 I was promoted and started working as Youth and Families Development Manager, overseeing the delivery of various youth projects and family work. In that time I also had the opportunity to start a degree in Youth and Community Services which I have completed in June 2013. I have recently appointed as the Gap director and I am looking forward to continue to ensure that the local community are empowered and developed in our area.
My job at The Gap is to ensure the smooth day to day running of the Centre and to ensure that the building is kept clean and safe. I sit at reception and greet everyone who comes into the Centre and I do all the administration and finances.
I've been working at the Gap for 10 years. I first started as a Youth Worker and now I lead a team of Youth Workers and volunteers. It has been a pleasure to see the Gap evolving over the time I have been here.
